Adam Solorzano

As a first-generation Mexican-American and someone personally impacted by the justice system, my background has shaped both my path as a journalist and the issues I seek to cover. Growing up in a small border community in California, I have witnessed and experienced many of the challenges faced by Spanish-speaking and marginalized communities across the state. This perspective drives my focus on stories related to the criminal justice system and its effects on individuals and communities. I’ve reported on topics such as the closure of state-run juvenile prisons, reentry after long-term incarceration, expungement of criminal records, and policing.
