I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria, watching the news with impatience when my father put it on. I also grew fond of the captivating way my mother told stories about her childhood. Eventually, it was both my exposure to global events and my mother’s storytelling that influenced my career in journalism. For the past few years, I’ve reported from three continents, delivering news in a way that makes sense even to a child. My goal is reporting that sparks curiosity, care and action.
