Ella Carter-Klauschie

I'm a recent UC Berkeley graduate, where I studied Media Studies and Sociology. At The Daily Californian, Berkeley's independent student newspaper, I found a passion for community centered hyperlocal reporting, and covered a wide range of vastly different beats. I'm passionate about making impactful stories widely accessible, and my reporting has historically spanned topics like housing, community organizing, education and the criminal justice system. I'm eager to bring new perspectives and broader contexts to local news reporting.

Previously, I've reported for The Daily Californian, EdSource, and CalMatters. My work has also appeared in The Nation and The Guardian.
