Katherine Kihiczak

My path to journalism began with a love for language and literature, sharpened by research on language access and AI privacy issues. Hailing from Los Angeles, I served as editor-in-chief of The Swarthmore Phoenix before earning my Master’s from Columbia Journalism School. Managing news coverage during the 2024 election strengthened my belief in the role of local journalism as a means to inform, hold institutions accountable and spark discourse. I’m excited to join ChicoSol to write accountability and investigative stories, in addition to contributing photo and video.
