Liliana Fannin

I am a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Racine, Wisconsin native. As a student, I reported on immigration from the U.S.-Mexico border and investigated the police response and media coverage of missing people in Milwaukee. These projects sparked my passion for journalism that holds systems accountable, amplifies voices that are systematically underrepresented and informs readers about pressing community issues. I’ve worked as a print and online reporter for several publications, including the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Milwaukee Magazine and the Racine County Eye.
