I'm a features and long-form journalist from Tucson, Arizona. I'm passionate about reporting stories of culture, labor, food and migration, and the intersection of all of those things. I'm fascinated by how the stories we tell of a place compare to the lived reality of everyday people.
I studied anthropology at Pomona College in southern California and got my start at my college paper The Student Life. I was previously a food reporter at The Arizona Republic in Phoenix. My work has received awards from the Asian American Journalists Association, NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists, and more.
