Sharon K. Sobotta
Sharon K. Sobotta is passionate about centering voices that are often marginalized while digging into the nuances and undertold aspects of stories relating to policies, protocols, propositions, education, stigma, racial injustice, gender-based violence and more. Sharon believes that stories have the capacity to inform and change minds, touch hearts and allow us to see the humanity in each other. Sharon has contributed to the East Bay Express and Pacifica KPFA as a reporter and is excited to be stepping into a role that will allow her to help voices and undertold stories from California’s native and indigenous population as an editor fellow with American Community Media.
Sharon lives in the East Bay with her daughters and her Rocket Dog rescue pet, Mr. Rogers.
Sharon is part of the inaugural cohort of Editing Fellows.
